Swansea is the third Barrett and Coe company-owned studio, offering baby, family and pet portrait photography, and opened in August 2024.

Josh Cox, our photographer, and a Welshman, is highly experienced in portrait photography, having worked in the industry for over ten years. He has won several awards for portraiture and loves his job!

Josh says “In my time as a portrait photographer I’ve had the privilege of capturing a lot of real, meaningful moments — images that end up on walls and stay in families for years. For me, it’s never just about the photo. It’s about creating a space where people can relax, be themselves, and enjoy the process.

Now, as a husband and father to two young kids, I understand the importance of capturing those moments, whether it’s your newborn, your family, or your pet! I bring experience, patience, and a down-to-earth approach. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about what the photo looks like—it’s about how it makes you feel.”

The studio is situated on a business park, so parking is easy. There is also a lovely lake adjacent to the studio called the Fendrod, which is beautiful for a walk with children or pets. Josh recommends a visit there if you are coming from further afield!
